Parental Guardian Angel

A delivery guy named Daniel (Ken Feels) keeps dropping off packages at the home of a teen, Carrie (Penelope Woods), and every visit he overhears an angry man barking orders inside. Daniel grows worried that Carrie's stepdad is hurting both her and her mom, but Carrie nervously waves off his concern and shuts the door in his face every time. Still, his gut keeps telling him something's wrong. Determined to help since nobody else will, Daniel takes matters into his own hands. One fateful day he shows up with a package of "vitamins" for the man of the house, insisting they're meant for him and ONLY him. Carrie promises to hand them over, closes the door, and Daniel exhales like a man who just crossed a line he can't uncross. Fast forward two years and life looks completely different. Carrie's cruel old man supposedly dropped dead from cardiac arrest, and Daniel ended up marrying his widow, becoming Carrie's new stepdad. She's happier, lighter, and endlessly grateful. The way everything fell into place feels almost too perfect, like some guardian angel had been watching over the whole family. Her only wish is that she had someone to thank for turning her world around. As Carrie pours out her gratitude, Daniel starts to squirm. When she says she'd love to thank whoever got rid of her old man, he finally confesses that those special vitamins weren't exactly good for the heart. He couldn't stand watching her suffer, so he played angel and reaper all at once. What follows is a very hands-on show of thanks between the new stepdad and stepdaughter, proving Carrie means every word of her appreciation.
