The scene opens on Tammy (Sovereign Syre), chatting on the phone with a friend while she tidies up her brand new place. She's fresh off a breakup and thrilled about her new beginning, though she admits she keeps misplacing little things lately. She scans her apartment with a hopeful smile, ready to turn the page. Cut to title. Days later, Tammy walks in from the bathroom wrapped in one towel, another twisted around her wet hair — clearly straight out of the shower. As she heads for the bed, something on the floor stops her cold. She looks down, puzzled, and picks up an unlit, unused cigarette. Tammy doesn't smoke, so her smile fades fast and the nerves kick in as she glances around the empty room. Rattled, she calls her superintendent Ray (Calvin Hardy) to ask if any maintenance workers have been inside. Nobody has, he says, though he floats the idea that the previous tenant might still have a key. That does nothing to calm Tammy, but Ray promises the building is perfectly safe. A few days on, Tammy comes home to find her front door hanging open. Frightened and unsure what to do, she calls Ray in a panic. He rushes over and swaps out the locks as a precaution. Once he's done, Tammy can't thank him enough for making her feel safe again. But there's one thing Tammy doesn't know about Ray — a little secret that would make her think twice about ever letting him through her door. Sovereign Syre and Calvin Hardy heat things up once the truth slips out.
