Riley Reid confronts stepmom Mindi Mink about their fling

Riley Reid and Mindi Mink are curled up on the couch, half-watching TV, when Riley springs up looking rattled. She fumbles out something almost philosophical, and Mindi has no clue where it's coming from. Riley spells it out: they've been sleeping together for a while now, yet they've never put a name on whatever this is. When Mindi's answer falls flat, Riley admits she's caught real feelings and needs to know if the feeling is mutual. Then, before Mindi can respond, she walks out. Mindi spends the whole day scrubbing the house and rehearsing what to say to her stepdaughter, cringing at how silly she sounds out loud. But when the words 'I love you' slip out, something just clicks. It's time to lay her cards on the table. Later she finds Riley back on the couch, TV going. Mindi sits beside her, grabs the remote and clicks it off. She apologizes for going quiet the other day and tells Riley their time together has been some of the best of her life. Then she locks eyes with her and says she's in love. Riley needs a second to let it sink in, but once it does, she kisses Mindi hard and says she loves her right back. Turns out the answer to 'what are we?' was worth the wait.
