It doesn't get sweeter than Playmate Shannon Stewart. A small-town girl from Louisiana, with blue eyes and a bright smile, Shannon grew up on the bayou, and despite years on the pageant circuit, she never thought she'd end up in the pages of Playboy. True to her resourceful Southern roots, Shannon managed to turn a stroke of bad luck into a claim to Playboy fame. "At first, I hated Los Angeles," she admits. "It was so fast that it freaked me out! One day, one of my modeling jobs fell through, and I was ready to go home. My friend said that I shouldn't go until I gave Playboy a shot!" The rest, as they say, is history - in the flick of a bunny's tail, Shannon became our luscious Miss June 2000. Now that she's a Playmate, Shannon is considering going back to school, but for now, she's happy to enjoy all that Playboy has to offer her. "This opportunity came out of the blue for a reason," she insists. "I'm definitely not going to let it pass. People tell me, 'Don't forget where you came from', but I don't think I could!" In other words, you can't take the small town out of the girl - and frankly, we wouldn't have this bayou beauty any other way.
