The outlook was not promising when tall, blonde and seductive Dasha first arrived in the United States from the Czech Republic. With only a tentative grasp of the English language, the only job she could get was as a janitor at a K-Mart in Washington, DC. The baggy overalls she wore concealed her extraordinary beauty and she had few prospects. Desperate to find a better life, she and a friend bought a old car and drove to Hollywood, where she became a dancer in a topless bar. Still living in her car on the beach in Santa Monica, she decided she needed a more lucrative job. She visited an adult video store and began looking at the box covers of the features on display. Vivid Video, she discovered, had the most attractive covers. She jotted down the street address of the Vivid office in Van Nuys and drove there the next day, presenting herself at the office and asking for a job application. The receptionist took one look at Dasha and called one of her bosses to come out and meet her. The rest is history. Dasha was signed up as a Vivid Girl and quickly cast in her first movie, ?Broken English,? which became a best seller. She caught the attention of mainstream producers and cast in The Deftones? long-form video, ?Change? and then in the album artwork and music video for Warner Bros. recording artist Brougham. Madonna picked her for a spot in her ?Music? video. She modeled for the famous photographer David LaChapelle, and has been featured in such fashion books as Flaunt and Dune (Japan). She was selected by Playboy for a pictorial on top adult stars.
