Just Play Along

Lilly James is relaxing at home when her stepdaughter Aliya Brynn comes in. They greet each other pleasantly and Aliya asks for Lilly's permission to go to her first concert tomorrow night. A group of new friends is attending and since she has never been to a concert before - along with the fact that she is excited to get to know these new friends - she was hoping she could go along. Lilly shakes her head firmly and says no to Aliya's request, saying that she's too young to be going to concerts. Aliya argues that she's 18, so she's old ENOUGH, but Lilly disagrees, pointing out that there is way too much illicit behavior going on at seedy concert venues for Aliya to go alone. When Aliya tries to convince Lilly to change her mind, Lilly tells her that she can go to the concert, but only IF Lilly comes along as a chaperone. Aliya, knowing that Lilly won't budge, convinces Lilly to pretend to be her date at the concert, to avoid the embarrassment of being chaperoned. The next night, Aliya and Lilly arrive home after the concert. Lilly is surprised by how much she enjoyed it. Going as a chaperone, she never expected to actually LIKE the music. Aliya is happy that Lilly had a good time, and even though she was a bit worried about Lilly coming along, she ended up having a lot of fun with her. Lilly says that she had a good time with Aliya too and there is a tender moment as they look at each other. They chat about how Aliya's friends thought they made the perfect couple. This makes them realize that they do in fact make a good couple, and they decide to have sex, coming together for a passionate kiss. They may have started the night as a fake couple, but they're about to end it as a real one!
